I went out to water the plants and wound up chatting with my neighbors for about half an hour.
I finished watering the plants, and then came in and set the microwave timer for a little over an hour to do come...

I have to make a mountain of sandwiches on a Sunday evening. Some for The Mister to take away to work with him, and some for me ….
The Mister likes a particular butter ….it is so hard to spread that he has taken to putting it in...

I told myself I was going to clean the apartment (picking up things and putting/throwing them away) for an hour and a half, and set the microwave timer. I didn't make it to an hour and a half, but it was very close to an hour when...

Done with that.
I cleaned two drawers and a shelf at the bottom of the refrigerator, tried to clean the microwave and the stove top (some things just won't come off ), vacuumed the main living area, watered the...

Sometimes things amaze me, and they aren't always interesting or exciting things, mind you. Take my microwave, for example. It has a turntable inside, as many do these days, that spins round and round when you microwave...

It was quite a storm that hit, especially those powerful winds! I didn't want to stay on the road, because tree limbs were falling in some places.
That's why I didn't drive home, it was safer to just stay put. Around 5:00P our...

I set the microwave timer for an hour and started cleaning things around--going through things to see what needed to go in the garbage, and what in the recycling and what went in my file cabinet or my box of things to send to...

I forgot I had bought five huge russet potatoes until my daughter cooked one in the microwave. As I came downstairs, I could smell that potato's deliciousness and knew I had to have one as well.
Hers had butter, sour cream and a...

Unloaded/reloaded dishwasher, and tried scrubbing out the microwave. Some of the stains in the microwave are pretty stuck. At least it's cleaner than it was.
My phone has "dinged" a couple of times, meaning I've...

I went to the apartment complex website and put in a maintenance order for someone to come look at my microwave.
No one's come yet (for all I know it won't be until tomorrow) but I cleaned the microwave and then I wound up...

This doesn't sound like an elegant dinner, but to us it certainly is. We don't
have an over in this rental house, which is unusual. So quite often we cook meat on the grill.
And any sides I add to this, will be either warmed up...

A few years ago, we found ourselves a microwave. It was an open box thing, and it had served us well. Today, I started it like normal to heat up some food, and I heard a loud pop. The heating element blew apparently, and now,...

Please don’t judge me but I only like instant coffee. As Vince likes half milk/half water and I only like a little milk, we heat the liquid in mugs in the microwave then add the coffee powder and, in...

We arrived at our new house-sit about 10.00am and the folks left on their holiday an hour or so later. We have unpacked now and have logged into their internet so it’s back to ‘normal’ for us. Once the hosts left, we decided to...

Last night I went to bed early, and slept soundly - for a while. I never have trouble getting to sleep, but staying asleep all night seems to be a problem. Isn’t it odd how something so normal and natural should be so...

We were able to place the microwave in the kitchen again (although remodeling is not complete).
I just popped a bag of microwave popcorn and have downed half of the bag! Our whole house now smells like popcorn!...

We can cook everything quickly, with little or no effort. We have instant oatmeal, and instant other things. Meals do not really require effort.
Well, I bought some bulk packaged 9 grain cereal. It did not have instructions, but...

Recently, I came upon a video on YouTube where Gordon Ramsay went to a restaurant, ordered some stuff from the menu, and then critiqued it. It might have been from some show of his but don't remember.
Something that he ordered...

I don't have a microwave. Single serve microwave rice, says you can stovetop it by boiling it for 10 minutes. Tried it, it worked! Nice fluffy & hot rice. Went to get more, Marukai out of Tamaki Gold, for now.
