When I was younger we could buy bouquets of these in stores. I wonder if a person can even find plastic ones nowadays. I am reading that some can be found at florists, farmers markets, or specialty online shops. There are growing...

@celticeagle wrote a discussion about mistletoe a few days ago saying she had never seen mistletoe growing in trees. All the oak trees in this complex are full of mistletoe. I told her when enough leaves fell from the trees to see...

I was thinking about mistletoe and I wonder if it is even used at Christmastime anymore. Remember? It used to be hung in doorways and if you and someone of the opposite sex went under it gave reason for a kissing situation. I...

You now know about my mum's unfortunate childhood but, once she became more independent her life became a little easier.
She went out and about with her friends and even went into the nearby city of Norwich without Grandma....

I kissed myself under a mistletoe!
This isn't our tradition and I've seen people doing this in the movies. Though when I was in high school we did hang a mistletoe and would asked our classmates to kiss under it. It...

As it's the festive season again, I have been wondering whether to fork out for a sprig of mistletoe? I used to be fairly successful with my sprig, but in recent years, the kiss-rate has gone down. Is my puckering less attractive...

"I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night. "
Another tradition around this festive season is the presence of Mistletoe - After revising where the tradition of the mistletoe comes from,
I am quite happy...

I am a die-hard romantic and always thought that the tradition of hanging mistletoe in a doorway and if you are caught under it you have to kiss the person next to you was rather intriguing and, with the right person next to you,...

Will mistletoe be part of your Christmas decorations? If so you are following an ancient tradition, since mistletoe is a herb that was valued by Greeks and Romans, for medical reasons in their case. It was perhaps the Celtic...

I've been thinking about mistletoe today. We don't see mistletoe as much as we did when I was a kid. It would be perfect to share a kiss with Bing Crosby under the mistletoe if it were possible. White Christmas is my favorite...
