Do you talk about your twins as if they're one child?

I noticed the other day that I always refer to my twins as "the twins" as if they're one child. "The twins are in first grade. The twins ride the bus. The twins get home at 3:30" Granted it's not difficult to lump them together...

I've only met twins. Haven't seen a triplet or more.
