Wii Remotes Not Working

I just bought a second hand Wii from Ebay, which came with 5 games, and two wii remotes. But I cant get any of the remotes working, I even put in brand new batteries in them. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Why do men have a need to channel surf?

Why do they need to hop from station to station on the tv? Never staying to complete one show or program? I mean not all men are this way. My husband if he has the remote it drives me crazy. Flip flip flip....why?
