Poll: Americans losing confidence in Obama email this discussion to a friend?

WASHINGTON (AP) - A new poll says that Americans, concerned over the future of health care reform and anxious about the growing federal budget deficit, are losing faith in President Barack Obama.

The Washington Post-ABC News survey found that less that half of Americans - 49 percent - say they believe the president will make the right decisions for the country. That's down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark of the Obama presidency.

The poll published Friday says Obama's overall approval is 57 percent, 12 points lower than it was at its peak in April. Fifty-three percent disapprove of the way he's handling the budget deficit and his approval on health care continues to deteriorate.

The national survey was conducted Aug. 13-17 and has a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

I have NOT lost confidence in Obama! Look at the mess he inherited from the Bush Administration. It took 8 years to get us into the mess we were in and Obama has been working to get us out of it but it takes time. ALl of those people don't have any patience and they want a magic wand waved to make all of the bad stuff to go away.

I think Obama has done a wonderful job as American begins to pull out of the recession. I would have liked to see more jobs created by the government whether it was for public works or other well paying jobs. We need jobs now and that will usher in the road to recovery.

I have not lost faith either, these kind of problems do not go away overnight, look how long they took to happen. The american public has become used to gtting things quick and having to make no sacrifices to get there. Look at what actos and singers get paid, that is an outrage, yet we continue to support their outrageous lifestyles, and the same goes for sport figures! We all want instant gratification. We brought this on oursleves, we buy things we can not pay for right now.

As president Obama trying to take on the big insurance, he is fighting an uphill battle, it is always a daunting task to change thing for the better in this country, everybody want to see quick result and work done overnight. He is facing against powerful lobby group, big corporates' interest, and republican party negative propaganda, he should have foresee such a onslaught before any proposal to over haul the old way of doing thing in America.

FILE - In this Nov. 18, 2008, file photo, the White House is seen in Washington. The White House is once again explaining how uninvited guests wound up shaking hands with President Barack Obama. This time, a Georgia couple hoping to tour the White House ended up at an invitation-only Veterans Day breakfast on Nov. 11, 2009. Officials say the couple mistakenly showed up a day early and were allowed into the breakfast because there were no public tours available. (AP Photo/Ron Edmonds)
