NJ subway train rolls over man, who escapes unhurt email this discussion to a friend?

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Officials say a man who appeared to be drunk fell onto train tracks at a New Jersey subway station just before a train ran over him - and he walked away unharmed.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Steve Coleman said a 32-year-old man rolled onto the center of the tracks Saturday night at the PATH station in Jersey City.

Coleman says a World Trade Center-bound train from Hoboken then rumbled into the station and three-quarters of the train covered the spot where the man had fallen.

The man crawled out from under the train unscathed but was taken to Jersey City Medical Center as a precaution. Officials have not released his name.

Surely, this is enough to make the man stop drinking. As a drunk, he sure did some quick thinking. I'm surprised that someone inebriated to the point of stumbling onto train tracks could think fast enough to roll to the center as the train passed over him. It is amazing. I'm glad he wasn't hurt and maybe the information will be enough that it will save someone else's life in the future.
