The reason you like it is because it actually had time to get ripe. Plums are great when they are ripe. Not only can you eat them raw, you can make them into jelly, if you are into that kind of thing. Eat too many and you'll be in the restroom a lot. But they are very good for the kids and you. Enjoy!

I slice them into thin slices, then put a bit of peanut butter on a cracker and one slice on top. If your kids are allergic to peanut butter, then there's always slices dipped in carmel, or chunk them and fry them with chunks of vegetables and serve over rice. Hello Friend,You know best what your girls like to eat. If you feel they are old enough, ask them to pack their lunches the night before they go to bed. I'm sure you will have to help them choose good things, but they are more likely to eat it if they pack it. Good luck!

I would have a hard time not associating with family at all. I certainly would be crushed if my boys disowned me. I suppose you fill in with what they call, "family of choice." Those are people around you that you want to spend time with. I feel for you about being on the disowned list, though. Must be painful.
