wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Unemployed use time for health, hobbies and family in latest business news.
It is important to utilize such time to work on other projects, pursue educational opportunities and spend time with one's family and friends--things that are often neglected when people are working 40+ hours per week (plus commute time).

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Pay TV providers fret over penny-pinching viewers in high tech news.
Television is a luxury, not a necessity. With the prices charged by cable and satellite providers, it can be a rather expensive luxury at that. If these companies really want to save themselves, they need to lower prices and offer more flexible packaging. Really, who wants to pay an outrageous amount for a package that one ends up only watching maybe 10 percent of the channels? That is an in...

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Sri Lankan watches TV 72 hours to set world record in feature stories.
Well, that is one way to make it into the Guiness book... If he can do that to break a record (his own, at that), he must routinely watch large amounts of television. Anyone who isn't much of a television watcher under normal circumstances most likely wouldn't be likely to be inclined to try to break this record.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Man calls 911 after clerk refuses to sell beer in feature stories.

Sounds like someone has a drinking problem... Hopefully, he is seeking help for his obvious alcohol and anger issues.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Police: Man hits brother with tire iron over jeans in feature stories.
Jeans? That's not the real issue. There are obvious underlying issues there, because one does not simply try to crack one's sibling's head open with a tire iron due to a pair of jeans.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Man calls 911 after eatery runs out of lemonade in feature stories.
The sad thing is, stories about people making calls to 911 for "interesting" reasons seems to be becoming a somewhat regular thing. No booze, "bored," wrong order at the drive-thru, etc. have all seemingly become, in some people's minds, legitimate reasons to call 911.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called A-Rod's former coach 'surprised' by steroid use in baseball news.
Perhaps, Alex Rodriguez changed a lot from his high school days. Perhaps, the pressure of the big leagues got to him. Or, perhaps, his former coach didn't know him as well as he thought he did.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Disabled men put to work at Iowa plant for decades in national news.

It is shameful the things that some people do to others. One has to wonder how people can face themselves in the mirror when they do things such as this.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called 'Shipwrecked!' salutes the power of imagination in other entertainment news.
It sounds like a charming play. Although, I'm not so certain that I would consider that era a "gentler" time... merely an age where people were not plugged in, but were, mostly, more connected to other people.

wilsongoddard commented on a news article called Teen charged with billing school for $37K of candy in feature stories.

And it didn't occur to him that he would get caught?Hmm... Hopefully, he will find a more law abiding path to follow; he certainly doesn't seem to be cut out for the life of crime.

Thanks for accepting my FR. I hope you will find my discussions interesting. Please don't take it personally if I don't respond to every comment but I assure you I will read them all. If I don't respond it's probably because I agree with what you say and can add nothing to it. But I will rate each comment I find positive. Thanks again.
