Antique Store Drama Update

As you all know, I gave my 30 day notice at the beginning of the month. I wanted to get out of there ASAP and asked for the month of rent to be pro-rated if I moved out by May 15th.
The owner agreed, but could not figure out how to do that with her computer software for the store. Maybe she had a problem with it but she could have done that offline and we would be done with all of this.
Since I had to pay full price for the whole month of rent, I will not move out until the end of the month. I knew she would be itching to rent the space out to the next unsuspecting person.
Today I went in to give her my check for the rent. She asked me if I had brought boxes to start packing 
. I told her no, that I had too much going on right now to deal with packing but I may start next week or wait until the last week of the month.
My hunch was apparently right that she was ready to get another vendor in and take their money. I can't wait to get out of there and write some reviews to give new potential vendors a head's up about that place!

That's right! And I won't be back in there tomorrow or Wednesday. It will all depend on IF I can get in the store I went to last Friday. It is looking like the best option right now. I will be making some more phone calls tomorrow to see if anyone else has open space. I actually met the manager at the store across the street Sunday at the flea market. They have a long waiting list.

@1creekgirl Yes, I have been looking and will probably go to a store at the opposite end of the street there in same little town. I am waiting for the owner to send me details.

That's about how pretty the "friend" is. I have nicknamed her "Evil Eye" cause that is all I get from her.
Still healing and still have the hematoma. I can stand the pressure of soft patting now to put some makeup on.

@AmbiePam They should be happy. Those two are the ones getting all the sales there, both are making several thousand a month in sales. But no, Ms. Evil Eye has to see how many other people she can make miserable. She has a long way to go to learn how to be civil to other people.

I know! I will be making a new post on that soon. I have been asking around looking for space and when someone mentions that place, I ask what they know about it. I have had several comments about it and all interesting! I also plan on writing several reviews on the store and how it is run.

I think I will also take a couple of days to move out. Make her wait. They are eager for me to get out, but I'm paid up for the month and that is her fault for not doing the 1/2 month like I asked. Her excuse was a stupid one also--can't figure out how to do that in computer program. Right! She got what she wanted; the whole month of rent from me, so she is stuck with me for the month.

@just4him Right just do it, forget about the computer program--although that is probably an excuse she came up with. It's a one time deal and doesn't happen every day so who cares if the program isn't correct in that area. She knows I'm gone at the end of the month. It won't affect anyone else's records, only mine.

She really doesn't sound nice. And to think she couldn't figure out how to charge you for only a partial month...how does she make change for people? How does she do any type of responsible paperwork there? Unbelievable.

I think so! I am checking on a couple more places and then getting back to her tomorrow. If not a booth, she takes items on consignment, and I had several things/brands on her list. I can also put some at the flea market with some re-arranging.
