Do we need to give money to beggars?

Is it our responsibility?? As people who earn money, as Christans, as neighbors, are we obliged to give something to them? i think we are a bit obliged to give money to them- but if we do, they'll never stop asking for money.....

DanielDB I believe in the Chinese saying of: "give a man a fish and he has food for a day; but teach him how to catch a fish and he has food for life". So, through my Church's programs for the poor and the underprivileged I contribute, not only money, but also my time...
