Last week at least 5 men beat and kicked a young woman they met on the street. The reason was that she had said something about interpreting the Koran in a new way when it comes to how women are viewed. The men may be sendt out of the country. They are refugees - thay have come here to escape threats in their original home country. Do you think beeing sendt out of the country is a fitting punishment for them?

Well, I think if they are guests in your country and they have broken the laws of your country, then they have invalidated their right to remain. Beating and kicking a young woman is a serious offence. If they are assylum seekers and face special threat in their home country, I guess they should have been a lot mor careful not to get in trouble in their new country and to attempt to integrate properly. I don't know if deporting them is the correct response, but they certainly need to be held accountable for their violent behavior.

I just heard on the news that some of them are actually supposed to be sendt back to their first country. problem is that it is not safe, so they get tp stay here until the situation there stabilizes. I hope they are put in jail while thay wait - they are clearly not fit to move about freely.

I agree, they shouldn't be allowed to roam, as it seems likely they could reoffend. Thanks for the BR!

I think it is absolutely appalling that these guys did this. I have no sympathy for them - they assaulted a person for speaking their mind. If they fled their own country for whatever reason they should be grateful to be given asylum/refuge in a country which they have the liberty to speak their minds. I think religion is not an excuse for their behaviour. People criticise or comment on religion all of the time in the civilised world, this does not mean they should be beaten up for it. Oh this has made me so angry I have to try to calm myself down. On top of that Islam is getting such bad press and so many followers are trying to convince the rest of us that it is really a peaceful religion and then idiots like this go and behave in this manner and towards a woman at that. People like that make me sick. They should definitely be imprisoned although when in prison they will have to watch themselves, people might be saying all sorts of things to them, much worse than that poor woman said and let's see how they like it when they are outnumbered they way the woman was! I'm going to try to calm myself down now LOL. x

I agree with you 100%. And i think it is a very good thing to get really really angry over this. Latest comments on the news about it: Some me said that they think the womean that got beaten has a really good body, and they enjoy watching her, but she should keep her mouth shut
