Toothpaste tubes

Would you look at your tube of toothpaste? Is it squeezed at the top or in the middle?
I clean up the bathroom toothpaste about every other day. Squeeze up from the bottom slowly to fill the void from where someone has squeezed from the middle or top...then wash off the gloops of toothpaste from around the cap area that was left to dry on.
Sure makes me wish they still made tooth powder in the red tin that I got when I was a kid.
(I keep a toothpaste for myself, separate from their messy tube, lol)

I have to admit, I do squeeze the tube from the middle. Since I have my own toothpaste, I'm able to keep it from getting gooey. When the center is sunken in, I roll up the bottom to push the toothpaste back to its poofy shape. My kids and husband all have their own and they are responsible to keep it cleaned as they so desire. That was one of the battles that had to be resolved by us all having our own and dealing with it. :)

We have one of those neat tube squeezers that pushes the tooth paste up the tube. I had a chuckle though when you said you keep your own tube of tooth paste becaus I do the same thing. I just like to keep my personal supplies personal and clean. LOL

I just looked and it was a mess. There are three open tubes in my front bathroom and 1 in the back bathroom. This may not sound bad, but only 3 people live here. One tube was squeezed in the middle, one tube had been rolled up and had a clip on it, another was almost as flat as a pancake and the last one didn't have a top on it.
I just tossed the one that looked empty and don't why my husband was keep it. I called him to ask, as didn't want to just throw it away, if he was planning to use it for something else. He told me I could throw it away.

lol my kid did that all the time and would often just leave the cap off it completly. after a couple of years i got fed up and went and found these little plastic things that you slip over the end of the tube and roll it up as you go along. cap still gets left off sometimes though lol!

yep, and big globs of it lay in the sink. yuck!
After I posed this question I noticed under similar topics, warwizard's question on getting out the last drop of toothpaste. Apparently in the Philippines it is costing nearly a third of their daily wages to purchase toothpaste. I could not imagine! if toothpaste cost me $50 a tube you can bet my kids would not be leaving messy globs of it in the sink! I think I would have it under lock and key, IF I even bought it.
