I always plan each day with the best of intentions of keeping up with the cleaning and organization of my home, but sadly, if I'm not motivated, it's hard for me to get into the act of maintaining order. Dust piles up. Clutter piles up. I am very meticulous about washing the dishes, but other than that, it's a lost cause. Add to that the items that I obtain to sell on ebay, and keep them in a storage room. That room is getting out of control, too. I do get little bursts of energy, when all of a sudden, I go on a cleaning frenzy. Being that the weather is finally turning warmer, it's putting me in the mood to do some serious spring cleaning, and I've been trying to get a bit done each day. Now, if I can just stick with the cleaning, and try to tackle a little something each day, I'd be very happy!

The lovely eBay monster is in my home too! Worse than dust bunnies any day. I seem to clean better when I'm angry. So maybe I need someone to get me really mad every day ;)

My house is never clean. It's always messy. I sweep and/or vacuum every day because the pets shed. That's really the only thing that I get done for sure every day, though. The bathroom gets done once a week, and the baby helps me put away his toys three or four times a day. My husband does dishes and laundry. Though sometimes it takes me a while to get the laundry put away, especially in the baby's room. My husband contributes more to the messes than my 15 old son, though. He brings stuff in and just sets it where ever. It drives me crazy. I never know whether we got any mail or not until I remember to ask him, because he puts it in such random places. I try to get him to clean it up, but it's pretty much a lost cause. Between him and the dogs (one carries around towels and baby blankets) we always have stuff out of place. As long as the stuff that is out isn't dangerous for the pets or my son, I don't really mind too much, though.

My hubby tells me I'm a pack rat but if you could see the stuff, errr junk he keeps you'd see it differently like I do. So I know what you mean about hubby's bringing in messes :)

I tackle one room a day, like one day I clean the bathroom, the next day, the kitchen. I do dishes everynight, we have a dishwasher so that's easy. I do a load of laundry every morning. We have a toddler, so toy boxes are my friend, I have one in the living room and one in his room. I've taught my son how to put toys away, so a few times a day we do that.

I envy you. Like I said earlier I used to be that way but it's slipped through my fingers now. Maybe I can get into that habit again.

There is nothing quick and easy about housecleaning lol. Having a clean place to live is important to me. Our home is cluttered but clean. I clean as I go. That is my tip. Cleaning as you go makes it faster. If you let it pile up, you are in trouble.

I detest housework! So yes not letting it get out of hand is the best way. When I was pregnant and not working I'd do one room a day. It was great. Wish I'd be more like that now LOL.
