An astrologer told me that amethyst is my lucky gemstone. Whether I should believe that or not, my life became much plesant since the day I started wearing a ring wtih amethyst.

I do not think a gemstone has mystical powers or brings one luck. It is all in the person's mind. It is often a lucky occurance that perhaps the person was wearing that rick or necklace when she won some money or got a proposal, and then she attributes her good fortune to this inanimate object. In other words, she is making the gemstone into an idol and that is wrong.

Each of gemstone have it own vibration that make different kind of energy. And people who know it, use it.
Why aren't theyThis is not about believing but understanding.
Why do some people believe in a power in a gemstone..
From what i know, Fisika study from high school, that each object have small element called ion that combine as one, make a strong structure. such in an iron, woods, water, gas and stone. And each combination of ion are not rigit structure but shaking. That makes some particle come and go. And this shake make a small vibration that our body can't feel a thing. And from all we all know, vibration will make an energy.
Why don't people use wood or iron or another object for the power? i guest because gemstone Chemical composition. Are more stronger, harder, have stable continue vibrant.

good topic!!
I don't know if I believe that a gemstone can have mystical powers.I have heard of people wearing bracelets of certain stones and claim that their atheritis has been aliviated.
I don't know about lucky stones either, but I have seen them sold at amusement park gift shops...bags of them clamining they will bring positive energy or something.
Interesting topic, one I may read up on and get back to you :)

I think it is just a superstition and if you believe in it, then it is possible to be true. I don't believe in any of that at all.

Yes i think it is true, i love them and like to believe there are gems with healing prosperities, luck, wealth and well being protection. Gems and crystals are beautiful, and kind of entrancing. I believe in the power of the mind and i think having a consistant reminder of luck, or wealth etc. will keep you dreaming positive.

Gemstone is a beautiful stone but I don't believe in any stone, etc. as lucky charms and have mystical powers, etc. Coincidence might have happened before which led to that belief. There's no connection at all with such luck.

nice..and the way you had said it here theres a tinge of belief on it...
