Do you know how to use Google as a proxy?

One of my friends told me that I can Google as a proxy, so I can open restricted pages or even deleted one, I test it and it worked, Simply open Google home page then choice language tools, then put the website you want to open in the textbox translate a web page, leave the translation language as default from Spanish to English so it won't change the language of the website and it will open it behind a proxy. I think many people want to use proxy, this is simple, easy way to do it, what do you think is it good or bad way? Did it work?

i have nothing blocked on my computer here to try, but that will be SOOO helpful at work if it does work!!!! I usually use www.atunnel.com or www.backfox.com. i have better luck with atunnel usually. thanks for this tip!
