Do You Still Dance In The Rain?

Remember when we were kids, and we used to jump in puddles and dance in the rain, with never a care about getting wet? I would tilt my head back and let the rain fall upon my face and wet my hair... it felt so invigorating.
In fact... I still do this from time to time. I draw the line at puddle jumping but I do step in them and drag my feet, to make the puddles wash, in ripples. Dancing in the rain is a wonderful experience though. I love to do it. Naturally, now I'm older, I tend to do so in quieter spots, but there are plenty of them around here! People might think I'm crazier than they already do if they saw me! ha ha ha
So... what are your memories of puddle jumping and dancing in the rain; how does it make you feel, and do you still actively do it? Don't be shy!

Yes Darkwing, this is something I really enjoy doing, especially at night and in the privacy of my garden!
I love the feeling of the rain falling on me, especially if it's been dry for a long time - which it has here in Oz. I guess it's my way of celebrating! lol

Sadly Darkwing there won't be much chance of rain - but I will think of you in the UK, perhaps out at the pub for the evening watching the Morris! lol

Yes, Feral... if the nights are warm enough, it's a wonderful thing to do. Kick your shoes off, throw your head back so the rain falls on your face, and go for it! It must be an extra special thing to do in Oz, as it gets so very hot and dry.
Thank you for your response, my friend, and Brightest Blessings for Beltane. Maybe it will rain lightly that evening, huh? :-)

I jump in puddles, i drag people with me, i dance in the rain, heck i even lay out in the rain, it's so relaxing, it's so my favorite weather of all time, just the rain.
Don't worry, i think we might be either just as crazy, or i might be a tad crazier.

You're younger, Spitfire, and have every right to be a little crazier. I know what you mean though... there's something about rain... even water as a whole. Sometimes, I would just love to stand beneath a waterfall or bathe in the pool it falls into. They're not usually accessible though, or you wouldn't be able to stop me! he he he
Thank you for your response and brightest blessings.

When i lived in Arizona and the rain was warm we used to play in puddles all the time. here in Oregon the rain is cold. I would not play in the puddles or dance in the rain. We try to get out of it as soon as possible. Even in summer time its just too cold.

I'm sure it only feels cold because you're used to the climate in Arizona, my friend, which is desert weather, no? I found it to be quite warm in Oregon until it was the morning of my leaving, November 4th. It was frosty and colllllllld. brrrrrrrrrr.
I like the rain to be a little cool, because it refreshes you more. Here in England is the ideal place for rain, too. lol. We get plenty of it, all year round! :-) Not that I'm complaining... it means more dancing!!!
Thank you for your response.

I no longer dance in the rain though I very much wanted to. I am afraid of being "laughed" at by others, or being sent to the mental hospital. Having said that, my most memorable one was dancing in the rain once in a group charity walk. It was pouring and we were in the middle of the road, without any shelter. Many people were having fun, some even shampoo themselves. It was a real interesting sight. We were totally drenched but we were happy.

The charity walk dance in the rain sounds as though it was fun. I would think it was quite refreshing too... sort of gave you a new lease of energy.
Hey, if you feel like dancing in the rain, go for it. I don't mind betting some will join in with you. It's just they're too shy to be the first ones to do it. lol. Failing that, find a quiet place where you can't be seen and dance your heart out!
Thank you for your response, Why, and Brightest Blessings.

I am probably one of few people not having umbrella. I like rain very much. When is raining my dogs don't want to go out....but we walk together and get wet...but only during hot summer...I can not imagine doing it when is cold..

Well no... I don't dance in the rain if it's very cold, or windy. Spring, Summer and Autumn rain is fine though, and a little warmer.
Try it when you're out with your dogs... find a quiet place in the countryside, let them run and have your dance... I just know you'll love it. :-)
Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

I like water full stop, but particularly the cleansing and invigorating feel of it upon my face and skin. You say you don't dance in it, but imagine if you found yourself alone, in a wide open space in the rain... nobody to see you... I'll just bet you would be tempted!!! lol
Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

Ohhhhhhh noooooooooo, Deeeky. I don't wear shoes!! I dance barefoot, so it matters not whether my shoes have holes in. lol.
Singing in the Rain, you mean? he he he. You'll need an umbrella as well, for that routine.
Thank you for your response and brightest blessings.

I LOVE playing in the rain! Me and my kids go out all the time in the warm Spring rains and play! I do jump in the puddles still and get all wet. I dance and sing and play. While others are running to their cars in order to get in before they get drenched, me and the kids will take our time and be dripping wet by the time we get in the car.

I'll bet the kids think their Mom is great fun too, Chaygyl! It's nice to go home and get out of your wet clothes and have a nice shower or bath too, huh? It makes you feel so much better, I think. The rain invigorates you and I believe, cleanses you as well.
Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

How relaxing and fun it must be. :P
I never do such things. Yes, not even when I was a kiddie. Just not that popular here lol.
