Traditional or personalized wedding vows? Do you prefer traditional wedding vows or would you rather prepare your own wedding vows and state those during the ceremony? More and more, I notice that couples would rather prepare their own vows now. What about you?

I want the traditional wedding vows. As in church wedding and i will follow the elders' belief. Maybe if we have lots of money we will prefer to have our own wedding vows by marrying again each other.

It is more romantic to say your own vows however it is very hard to prepare one. With all the bruhaha before the wedding...you'll find it very hard to make one. In our case, we planned to say our own vows but we just can't find the right words, the ryhmes, so we end up saying the traditional vows. But that was during the wedding, but the night after our wedding (our first night together as husband and wife) we said our intimate vows to each other. It was so romantic!

My boyfriend and I both make our living as writers, and we both have books published. It would be an insult to our intellegence to recite vows that someone else has prepared. We would prefer to prepare our own, and say what matters to use, not what someone else has already prepared.
