I just looked at my points. They are at 15,400. I answered one post, and I wrote 4 lines. I checked my points and they went down automatically to 15,395. I am really sick of this daily. I am tired of hearing the word glitches. I think MyLot is playing games.

I thought what happens is every three days they have an automated system that goes through posts and deletes duplicates or those that are outide of guidelines. If over a three day period (maybe it is more, they do say their algorythm is very complex) a number of posts you have responded to are deleted, that could account for the numbers. It seems there was a bit of a deletion frenzy a couple of days ago and I am trying to be very careful to which posts I respond to because I don't want to waste my time.

My daughter thinks this is all a grand experiment and maybe you are playing into some twisted sense of humor. Not sure however this is common and one thing that may not change. Just would be nice to know what is deleted and why. Good luck in all you do here at the crazy Mylot site.

I have had this happen to me recently as I lost 36 points at one time and I did not see any reason for it as I create topics and comments that are within the rules. I would not worry about your points my dear as you are way up there and contribute nice topics and comments daily. This one time bothered me a bit but I just move on and do what I normally do. I think we just have to be more careful about what posts to respond to and the type of topics we create.

Hey! I hear ya!!! I have been gone all day today and have not been able to log on until this evening. And at first I didn't notice. But I keep track of my ratings in a spreadsheet and remembered when I logged off last night, I was over 6500. This evening I logged on...and I lost 40 points! 40!!!! OK, now I am really upset! I follow the guidelines. I post quality responses. I even go back and read the guidelines periodically because I know at any point that they can change the rules. So, I know I have been following them!!! So, why are we loosing points??? This has been a very bad myLot month! This is not the first time! I have logged on to find that I have lost over 50 points in one night! Grrrr!!! This is getting really frustrating! Why? And I know what will happen if I question myLot about it...I will get the same generic answer that I either posted something against guidelines or someone else did and I lost my credit for it! But that is the thing too! I don't post to discussions that go against guidelines either! *sigh* But what to do? I need my pennies. :( So, I hear ya Margieanneart! It is either myLot playing games or someone reporting us just because they want to tear down those that have been here awhile...and myLot does not bother to look into it and just deletes without justification.

I think it would be helpful to go to FAQ of MyLot (at the top right of your screen). There they have mentioned about deletion of posts and ratings. Right now I don't remember, or at this stage of points I am not permitted for a copy and paste :-(

Are you talking points on your star or number of posts? Did myLot remove some of your posts? I hear they will do that under certain circumstances, i.e., if you posted on a discussion that is removed, or if your response was rated with an exclamation point. Still, losing six posts seems like a lot. Someone in another discussion said their star dropped 8 points one day. I don't see how a person can get that many negative rating! Who knows the answers to these mysterious numbers?

I know this is really annoying to say the least. We just keep loosing track of our points when these "glitches" occur. I haven´t lost any today, but it usually occurs every two or three days. Maybe tomorrow. I keep track of my points same as you and it´s extremely frustrating to see them go down for no reason. Sorry to hear you´ve got the same problem. Mylot assures that all this won´t affect our earnings. We´ll see. I hope this discussion is not going to get deleted, because we´re just stating facts here, which should be perfectly ok on a forum.

You know I have never paid much attention to my numbers. I think maybe I should. Mine may be doing the same thing as yours. I did not know mylot would reduce our numbers, now I don't even understand why they would do that. I'm sorry for all the stress it's causing you. Let me know if you find out why it's happening.

That is unreal. You have been having alot of problems with this. I don't understand it either. I wander why this is happening to you? Someone psoted a discussion earlier and it stated that about an hour before Mylot makes their daily credits to our accounts, that persons posts grows by a few posts. I told them I have never seen that happen before. I don't blame you for being sick of it happening. Have you contacted Mylot about this problem? I know that I definitely would, because it would surely be getting very old to me by now.

That's what happened to me yesterday I was a little sad and my rating droped too. So I really don't know what happened I checked all my discussion and it's still there. I often woder if somebody rated me negitive but if they did I don't know why I also give out the honest opinions and ratings I never rated anyone neg. I m like you I am so tired of the word glitches too. Have a good day.

Well, I think it happens to us all, and then somedays it seems like my Pay in nothing compared to what I thought it should be, so they are back to their Low paying even if you post a lot for the day. I am not sure what is going on here for sure, but it does get annoying to say the least.

Hun, they are probably doing maintenance. I gave up keeping track long ago (though my post count seems to drop suspiciously too lol). It's like I will suddenly look at my rating and wonder... hmm... didn't I hit this number already? But since I didn't note down to compare, I can't be sure. :P

If the points go down, yes, the earnings go down. We work awful hard for a penny now. I'm sick of it.

I haven't noticed any changes but I will be extra vigilant from now on. Sorry to hear you lost some points, hope it's just a minor glitch! :)
