I love gardening, but we just moved to this home that is LOADED with Azaleas. They were so very beautiful, full bloom, then we got a freeze. So, my question is, can I prune them now and cut all that dead ugly stuff off? I can't stand looking at them now they are so dead looking.:( Makes me sad.

Hi Renae, Yes, you can safely prune your azaleas now. In fact, one should prune them after they have finished blooming and before they form their buds for next year. I trimmed mine too late in the season last year and cut off the buds for this year...so they didn't bloom! They were much too tall though and I had to do it! They will only bloom the one time so you are safe to prune!
