This movie came out in 2005 and I saw this for the first time last night. It pulled a multitude of different emotions out of me. It spell bound me till it was over.
Jean's husband dies and she and her daughter head out to Wyoming where her father-in-law lives. Her daughter, Griff, tries to be friendly with her grandfather, Einar, but at first he wanted no part of her or her mom. He has never gotten over his sons death and blames Jean for it. He lets them stay with the condition it would only be for a month or so. There also is a man whose name is Mitch that Einar is taking care of. Mitch had been mauled by a bear and that is why Einar is caring for him. Throughout the movie there is a bear that happens along. Griff starts to chisel away at Einars heart and what happens as forgiveness starts to enter into Einars heart is very special. You might wonder about the bear and Mitch but they are all connected together and as the movie progresses on you start to see that all the characters are linked together and there is a lesson to be learned out of this beautiful movie.

When the title of that came on the television my husband said that he had seen this movie and told me how great it was. After I had seen it I have to agree with him whole heartedly. I am not a huge television watcher but I do like to sit there and read when my husband is inside with me.

This is a movie that shows the power of forgiveness. As the movie unfolds you will see at the start the people approach each other very caustiously and then the two people talk openly how they feel and you can see the forgiveness slowly creep into their hearts and start to make changes between them. It is a very good and beautiful movie.
