When I was growing up, I had a favorite Aunt. She brought us toys and took us to Disneyland, she was also the one who busted me for ditching school, yet she still remained my favorite.
I never outgrew her. I had always enjoyed going to visit her. I felt just like a little kid. I looked forward to her hugs and the special attention that she gave me.
Six months before she passed away from cancer, I went to see her, then after that I could not bare to see her any more. She passed away on my favorite day of the year, Valentine's Day 2004. I could not go to her funeral and maybe that is why I still can not believe that she is gone.
She was so very special to me and my family has not been the same since she passed. When we do get together, I can't get rid of the feeling that someone is missing. I have not been back to her house and I don't think I ever will.

This is very special. It is nice to have people like this in our family. They touch our lives in a very special way. We want to hold on to them for ever and never have to say good-bye. There is a saying that goes, "Tis better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.
Some people impact our lives so strongly that they help us to become who we need to be. I have learned to cherish family and friends above all else in this world, including money.

That's a very sweet of you to describe your aunt this way. My favorite reletive is my dad's momma or my grandmother. After my momma's mom just dieing she is the last grandparent I have left. She has been there for me since childhood and has always been easy to talk to if I need to talk to her.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your aunt, it sounds like she was very near and dear to you. It is always hard to lose a loved one that is close to us.
I myself have always favored my youngest aunt on my mother's side of the family. She has always put herself out there to be there for me, and to do things with me every since I was just little. Even now that I am older and we both have kids she still makes it a point to keep in touch with me on a regular basis and I absolutely love her for it.

Aunts are pretty special. I love all my aunts and I try to be the best aunt that I can be. I have eleven nieces and nephews and they are all special in their own unique way. I don't have children of my own yet, so I try to help out with them as much as possible.
My biggest problem use to be trying to protect them from the things they have to experience. It is hard, because you don't want to see them hurt, but at the same time, they have to make mistakes and learn from them. They have to realize by themselves that some things are wrong.

Hi Rozie. I think the favourite relation for me, would have to be my grandma who's 83 years old and teaches me alot of knowledge about my culture and the old ways, how to benefit from plants in the bush, make medicine and use for food.
