I don't want to dump on your choice in pop music, but is there anything that was really unique? I mean she appears to be nothing more than another in the long list of pop princesses that have appeared over the last 2 decades (certainly a nice boost to feminine presence in music) but will anyone remember her in 20 years, much like most of the other pop princesses?
I am kind of a bug about pop culture stars, they are passing fads in general. When you get older you tend to notice the temporary nature of fame.

I agree with what you say about pop princesses.... and I ever since she has been known even in her country I have always adored her voice. Just something about her that I like and I would remember her.
I grew up in the 80's, 90's.... all those bands that I listen to, I still do. I will never let go of it either... lol

Well Someone like madonna doesn't have to survive decades for me to still enjoy them... them lasting in their career has nothing to with why i like them. Hell I remember some of those people. I grew up with a mother that was just into all that.
There are alot of people that I remember and I can't even put names on them right now, but that's because I remember faces better than names. =P I'm glad that you feel the way you do, but I'm probably not in your generation as it is. So it's quite obvious that you are going to have different views of anything just about. So need to feel preachy, I totally understand... I am sure that I will be the same way with the next generation that tries to tell me whats good and whatnot.

I think that she is a good belly dancer and she is a good singer. I wish I could lear some of the moves for bellydancing since you know we take that kind of class together lol. And yeah she is damn fine looking lol and it's probley because she works out A LOT lol.

She is unique. Totally unique i have never saw any singer with that much different voice and such a good belly dancing moves. It's just hard to make or have that much talent in one body and shakira do have it.
