Hi Friends and Members, Thank you all for your wonderful gift ideas for our daughters engagement, well I went shopping and had a look at some wonderful gifts for our daughter Judith and her fiancée and it was very hard to choose something special for them as there were so many wonderful gifts that we could of given them but I decided due to they are leaving here tomorrow to go and live where my daughter's fiancée grew up in Hobart in Australia and it can be extremely cold there that it was best to buy them some warm flannelette sheets for their bed. Anyway we had the engagement party for them here at home yesturday with only a few close family members and friends they all enjoyed themselves and then the other guests left so that we as the parents could have some time with the two special people in our lives as tomorrow they are leaving here and going to Hobart, for around 3 months to renovate his home and then sell it and come back and buy a home here in Sydney where we live so everything is looking on the up for our daughter at last and she has a wonderful engagement ring it is white gold with a diamond in the middle. So I just wanted to inform you all and thank you for your interest in our daughter and her life, she sure looks a lot happy and healthier now due to this man in her life!!

I did not get in on the first discussion about your daughter but I am so glad your daughter is doing great. When I read your post I was smiling for you and your daughter. It sounded like they are going to live in Sydney. I hope they will be close then, I do not know how big Sydney is. Our daughter has been married for 5 years now and she lives with her in-laws and helps take care of them. She works full time and is busy taking care of her husband and in-laws I worry she does not over do it. She is such a great girl but she gives and gives and gives. Good luck with the marriage.

Oh Kathy, I feel so happy for you and your daughter! I can feel your happiness and excitement in your discussion, it beams from you like a lighthouse beacon! If they are going to Hobart, the flannelette sheets are a great idea for the cold weather down there in Hobart, Tasmania. I felt sad when I read that they were moving to Tassie, but then I saw that they were eventually coming back to live in Sydney, so my heart lifted again! How your daughter's life has changed - all for the love of a good man. I wish them both all the happiness in the world.

Kathy I am so happy that everything is going well for Judith and her groom to be! If it is not too late give them a hug from me and let them know that I wish them the best of luck - although it sounds as though they don't really need luck! I am so happy for you as well as I know that seeing your daughter, healthy and happy with such a wonderful man makes you content as well! I thought at first that they were moving to Hobart for longer but am so glad that it is only for 3 months as I know that you will miss her whilst she is away - at least you know she is with someone who will look after her well!

hi kathy.. it's glad that you finally figure out what to buy for your daughter.. i believe everyone here will wish all the best for her marriage.. right? you've been a great mother.. i know.. because i see it from the way you treat friends.. you help with your kind heart. and you don't ask for return.. that's really.. one in a million for me.... i think the happiest person is not your daughter.. but it's you.. because you finally get to see a trustworthy man taking care of your daughter.. that's what every mother wishes for her daughter isn't it? i think i heard it somewhere before :)
