RVD Leaving the WWE

It has been strongly speculated that RVD will soon be leaving the WWE. The ECW wrestler's contract is set to expire probably in late July, and he has opted not to renew it. (Then again, there's always the chance of the deal coming to different terms and affecting his decision another way.)
The creative team apparently had its focus shifted to CM Punk and Elijah Burke so as to soften the blow to ECW if in case RVD does leave WWE.
Previously (around February), Rob Van Dam was rumored to have asked for a lighter work schedule, an extended time off later this year, and a pay raise. The WWE has not given RVD what he wants as of recent negotiations between the two parties, and word is out that RVD will leave the company instead of accepting what is offered him (which is not as much as he had asked for).
There is a strong possibility of RVD moving to TNA and following former ECW superstar Kurt Angle, and if he does, TNA will undoubtedly get renewed sparks among wrestling fanatics. And if his plans are unveiled as to what his plans are with the WWE (ie. leaving), we can expect the company to start phasing him out of the storylines.
Rob Van Dam is a big star in the WWE. If he moves out of the company, what do you think the aftermath will be? For the company? For himself? And possibly, for TNA?

RVD was getting another good push from WWE when he and his good friend Sabu were stopped by the police.RVD was the champ at the time but since has been basically left out of the picture. It seems the WWE decided then (in my opinion) that they were not going to offer him a contract and started using him as a filler.RVD will have his choice of where to go after his contract expire.I hope he does not go to TNA until they can get a better TV contract to give all the big names there some playtime .

Yeah, I remember that. Wasn't that about the time Big Show won the ECW belt? Anyway, I have to agree that not all the big names in TNA are getting enough time on the show, so yeah, maybe when the TNA gets to the point where it can manage all its "stars" better, they can try and sign RVD.

He'll surely be missed. He's been a valuable addition to every brand he's been on, and he's been explosive and entertaining every time he performs. That said, I also watch TNA, so I wouldn't mind if he switches over to the other side. Anyway, if that's where he'll be happy, I think it should reflect on how he performs over there. Besides, I think he needs a new environment to grow on, and the TNA provides just that with a different set of wrestlers on the roster and a different kind of audience. Heck, even the wrestling ring's different. I can just imagine him doing a Five-Star Frog Splash from one of the six corners of the TNA ring.
