How many mylotters out there have a loved one in the prison system? And do you feel that they are being treated well?

Hi, I used to have a boyfriend who was in prison a couple of times while we were going out and to be honest in the UK they are treated almost like royalty. Totally wrong in my opinion as these people are meant to be punished not living in the lap of luxury!

Well luxeries they shouldn't have, but necessities and just humane treatment they should have.

I have had a lot of family in and out of prison. Here in Canada I think it's a pretty cushy place to be. You get a roof over your head, meals, TV, you can finish your highschool or get governmental paid college and university educations etc... My cousin wasn't going to amount to much in life until he beat some guy with a baseball bat (sad but true) then he was put in prison and came out 7 years later with a degree from one of Canada's best Universities. He now has a good job a good education and no debt. I think that is kind of bad because ther are so many kids out there that go to school (without being in jail) and when they are done they have debt of 50 and 60 thousand dollars to pay off.
