I have been needing glasses since the fifth grade. Now my lenses are so thick and they don't seem to be improving. I found out that I had a bout of Vit. A deficiency when I was a child. Could this have contributed to my present condition? Need experts and knowledgeables to shed light... :)

No myopia is not associated with vitamin A deficiency, Vitamin A deficiency causes dryness of eyes, skin and finally blindness. Your myopia could be hereditary, as mine is. Have you tried using soft contact lenses, I have been using them for the past 20 years and find them quite convenient. You do not have to go to wear thick glasses.

I tried wearing disposable lenses but am too lazy to buy one when the previous one expires... :)
