What will happen if the internet will collapsed?

The internet has now become the major communication tool expanding all over the globe. Business transactions to the tune of billions (or is it already trillions?) of dollars are transacted here thru the internet. In fact, some life-saving informations are relayed all over the globe daily on time. These are the things we could not have done without the internet.
I read somewhere, that originally the foundation of the internet is faulty. Why? Because the founders of the internet had never foreseen that it will be as great as it is today. Therefore, some scientist are saying, the fundamental assumptions of the internet are not grounded for the purposes we are using it today. And it's good thing that the internet had so far never crashed.
Hey, there is a remote possibility that the internet could not take it anymore and will crashed to the ground. What do you think will happen if the internet crashes? Do you entertain of this possibility?

You cant think of the world without internet, this technology had brought people closer. and most of the business is running because of internet, any person can get any thing through net, any information, any softwares, any problems you will get solved through net, you can gain knowldege by net, if you need any information you can get it in few seconds and it will be on your finger tips, most of the booking in travel agency is through net only, so there will be a generation back if the net will collapsed, but it wont happen as per me.

I'm not sure what would happen if the internet world crashed. I think that it may not be very possible anymore though with all of the new and advanced technology we have. I think we do have some back up in place with all of the Internet Technicians we have in the world these days. I'm sure there is still some faulty parts of it but I really do not think it is anything for us to really worry about crashing down. I would be totally lost without the internet in my life. I have gotten to accustomed to using it for everything these days. I difinitely do not entertain that possibility. I would be very distraught without it.

If the internet collapsed everybody would use the things like before internet, the telephone companies would have more business, we would watch TV and go to the bank in person. And then all of a sudden someone would invent something new that would be even better and everybody would use that. No, I don`t think it would be the end of the world or the end of communication.
One more thing would happen. Some other man would be richer than Bill Gates.
