These are my babies. My Asiatic Lilies in the front of my house. They really spread over the last year as I now have 45 growing here as opposed to 9 that I planted 3 years ago. they are just about at the one foot height now. All my other plants and flowers are really growing as we've had great warm sunny weather here in Minnesota for the last week. I was amazed at how much everything grew in this time. My wife & I every morning grab a cup of coffe and walk around checking out the growth of the plants, flowers, and graden food. I am really happy so far with everythings growth this year. The thing is that I don't ad danything to the soil as far as food or fertilizer. I stick them in the ground and they prsper this well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I envey you. My flowers never come up. They all just die. I even had my mom come help plant some cause I thought maybe I was planting them to deep or not deep enough. But still...no plants. So I am going to say that it's because I have bad soil....

Phlox - edging bricks my Phlox and new solar lights
These so called "liner" stones are actually just chunks from my old front porch steps. I don't have gutters on the front of the house and this area with the "liner" stones is where the water drips after a rainfall. LOL. Around the whole area though I do have stones/bricks. I'll take a good picture of the area after I lay down new mulch. I may do that this wekend weather permitting. Thanks for the compliment also. I have a great green thumb I've been told now a few have also said I take great photos. The attached photo is a ground level view of my Phlox and new solar lights. These are the type of bricks I've got laid out as a border in my front flower beds. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I love Asiatic Lilies. I have planted many on our garden. Every time I see them in the store, I have to buy at least one. They are beautiful flowers. We don't get a lot of sun here, but I plant them in the sunniest spots I can find.

As you can see mine are planted right against the house. They stand straight up till around 4 or so when the suns in the front yard really strong. Then they all cop that lean W A Y over stretching for the most of the suns rays. Thanks and hope yours grow well also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

These are very pretty and you are fortunate that you don't need to put anything in your ground for fertiziler. I have to dig up our garden and replaced all the soil, most of it was sand so I knew nothing would grow in that, I have placed some wonder soil down for the garden and I am hoping the rain will stop long enough in a week to allow me to plant my vegetables, if not, perhaps mid-May would be the time.

Well as far as my Apple Trees I did add a few bags of topsoil and a bag of compost/manure. But thats it. Other than adding topsoil due to the ground needing it to make it level etc. I add nothing. water and thats it. hee hee.

You are going to have a wonderful display when the flowers develop. It really makes one feel good, when their gardening has been successful. I rated the photo & wrote a comment. Oh, and I forgot to add that I rated your photo and added a comment on the apple blossum.

I like how this looks so neat and tidy. It's times like this I wish I live in Minnesota. We sure don't get the weather you get. We've just nicely got rid of our snow, but it still froze last night. I'm ready for summer.

Thanks for the compliment on the neatness. I try my best to rid the areas of weeds etc. heres a photo of another area in front. I have an Endless Summer, 5 hostas, some lilies and ladies mantle growing here. They are just starting to grow also. I dont think this area is so neat though. I am buying muclh this wekend so things will look much better with that laid out on the bare dirt. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Bob, my Nacked ladyies are blooming and so is my pansies. I know the pansies should be blooming but my nacked ladies are supponse to bloom in December. I also have a navel orange tree that just finished blooming. I just put in two big pot and planted some squash and some cucumbers in an area of really bad dirt. Tomorrow I am going to hook up a automatic watering system. I hope to have veggies. Good luck with yours.
