The Senators advance and The Devils go home and Brodeur didn't look like the Brodeur we are used to. Was he injured? Was he tired? Is he getting too old? I don't know why. What do you think?

I think Brodeur has a couple of games off in order that he got some rest. Brodeur will look to break Patrick Roy's record for all-time wins. I think that Brodeur will become the best ever goalie in hockey. He will also look to break the shutout record. This year, he had 40 wins so far. All I am looking for is that Marty will be able to break the most wins alltime record. He has about fours years left in playing before he ever retires.

I'd say it's partially age and fatigue. He plays too many games and it's been going on for too many seasons. The Devils need to give him more rest during the season. Also, the team as a whole failed this postseason. The defense wasn't all that consistent and the offense couldn't provide a sustained attack. That all added up to more shots on goal by quality goal scorers and more pressure on Brodeur to do more than he really should. For next season, the Devils need to look at finding more speed on defense and work on consistency on offense. If you stay in a system as long as the Devils have, other teams are bound to find ways to break through it.
