Too much of most foods can make people fat. It's not just pasta. Any food is fine in moderation. However, the best pasta for you is whole wheat. It tastes delicious and has the added benefit of whole grains. You don't have to stop eating pasta for fear of being fat. Just eat pasta like any other food- in moderation. Have your serving of pasta with some vegetables, a salad and a whole wheat bread!

since pasta is a carbo it does gives us energy.. and it's good to eat.. it can make people fat if eaten at the worng time.. according to our nutritionists... carbs should not be taken within 6-8hrz before we sleep..coz if we do...say we eat pasta or rice for dinner and sleep...the carbs we took will not be burned...it will all change into fats and that's what makes people fat..but if you take it n d morning or lunch it shouldn't be a problem.

No. Pasta is not fattening. One cup of cooked pasta provides about 200 calories (830 kilojoules ), 40 grams of carbohydrates, less than one gram of total fat and no cholesterol. With this in mind, Pasta is one of the healthiest foods around. The question is always what pasta sauce to use without heaping on the calories.

In moderation pasta won't make a person fat, but a lot of people have trouble with the moderation part. Wheat pasta is a safe bet, and when you find a good sauce to go with the wheat pasta, it's not that bad.

uhmmm.. pasta is a carbo so I think yup! but I think it also depends on your body because there are people whom no matter how much carbs they eat they still won't get fat because of how their body works , which we call metabolism...

I think what makes a person fat are fats. LOL. Pasta is made of carbohydrates. It will make the person grow big only if the person over eats pasta with meat. Most pasta are healthy when we add veggies on it and not cholesterol rich ingredients. Fats can develop if the person eats without exerting effort to sweat it our or to exert energy to release or consume what was taken in. Exercise is good tool to maintain a good figure aside from diet or food intake.
