expensive I rarely get to enjoy it. Do you like Asparagus? It is actually a member of the lily family did you know this? It can also grow 10 inches in a 24 hour period! It is also low in calories only 4 calories per spear. It has no fat or cholesterol ( that is unless you douse it in butter like I do) and is low in sodium!
If you don't like asparagus what is your favorite vegetable and why?

I love asparagus also but I haven't had it recently because of how expensive it is. I like it in vinager with salt and pepper. It has to sit in the fridge for a bit. I do like in butter also.

i am glad that asparagus isn't that expensive here in the philippines. i just bought two bundles of asparagus today which is enough for four people. each bundle is just priced at 10 pesos or like 25 cents (in US dollars).

I love asparagus. But, only fresh asp. I hate it in the can or frozen. Did you know if you hold the tip and the end, bend slightly, it will break at the toughest spot that way. I can eat them raw or baked.

I'm not a vegetarian but I like almost all vegetables. I like asparagus but I don't buy often, he have some but very expensive the most of the year, only for few days at the year the price go down when we stop import them and we use our country's asparagus, but we have very little.

I don't like asparagus at all.
My favourite vegeatable is probably the potato. I know that is boring, but I have always loved potatoes. My preferred way to cook them is roasting, although the kids liked them mashed.
Unfortunately potatoes are high in carbs, so I mustn't have too many of them.

Hello, yea I love asparagus, too, especially with meat such as chicken. It is yummy with Ms. Dash and a little butter. I think my favorite vegetable is carrots because they have a sweet taste and they are easy to eat. I can eat them raw (you really cannot eat asparagus raw, at least I never tried) and they taste good. They have a lot of fiber and I believe they have vitamin A.

I have an asparagus bed in my garden and it is now three years old. While I haven't seen it grow 10 inches in 24 hours, it is a really healthy bed and am looking forward to cutting the first spears. It loves our sandy soil and it pretty much grows itself. I didn't realise it was so good for you, but I know fresh asparagus is so much better than anything I have ever gotten at the store!

Asparagus takes I think 2 or 3 years of growing before it is
edible also. I'm not positive on the time but I know its years.
I also love the taste of asparagus especially boiled then coated
in elted butter. Two other veggies I like are butter beans and
brussel sprouts. All smothered in melted butter of course. I
don't eat them often but those are my faves.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I also personally love asparagus. It is not my favorite vegetable as that would be broccoli. However, it is probably number second on my list and I don't get to eat it that often.
