We can see a lot of advt saying that they have a software uplifting your site in 10th rank in google, yahoo etc. But if some 50 person approaches and give the fees to place their site with the same subject in the rank upto 5th, i could not understand how they can fullfill their promise?
According to my kowledge, key words are the most important thing to get ranking in search engine. I have a web and I used to type my key words in the site and I got some imprtance in ranking. One of my friend told me that if you have a lot of "links" you may get high rank .
Can you tell me as to how to get links?

There are lots of SEO techniques. And new one emerge every day.
Yes, content, keywords, links... I think those are the most important things for good SEO.
But there are lots of tweaks for getting the best results.
