Online Music Listening/Use

Okay I have dial up with AOL as my provider. I love listening to the radio while I am on myLot doing my writings etc. I love alternative music and theres some great stations from the UK I listen to. Minneaplois Minnesota USA used to have a few great alternative stations but they have gone by the wayside as of late. The last one Drive 105 just changed to Love 105. Sigh! So I use Radio AOL or Real Player for my listening pleasures when online as of late. Does anyone else here listen to radio online as they are doing mylot or just surfing? What types of music do you prefer to listen to? Do you own an IPod and download any to it from online? Just curious is all.

I don't listen to any music at all when online. However, if my husband or kids have the V or music on, I have no choice...
My husband downloads music a lot. He uses Lime Wire, I think it's called. It's free. Its slow to load if you have dialup, like we have, but it works.

My son also used Limewire.
I just use the online radios available is all.

You have to be careful with limewire, there is a lot of spam on limewire now that it became very hard to find songs you are looking for. Some of the search results take you to some adult web sites, others are suspicious files and potential viruses. I use limewire at times, but I am more and more careful when using it.

I don't actually download from the internet nor do I have an iPod, however I do have music playing most of the time. I usually play my goth and rock music in the house and in the car too. right now I have The Cure and Sisters of Mercy lined up on the cd player.

I love to listen on rock music, and I sometimes go to online radio's while doing stuffs here on mylot.
I sometimes listen to lauchcast but most of the times, I listen to VH1 Radio.
VH1 has lots of genres, categories to choose from. They also showcase the best music to listen to, from the 60's up to the latest.
Sad to say, I don't download music online..

Hi grandpa, I actually have a hard time choosing the best online site to download music. I had subscribed for a free trial before on e music. But the music they have are mostly foreign songs which I hardly knew of.
Presently, I relied on my CDs and uploaded some of my favorite songs and included them in a site to share with other mylotters. They are also sharing some of their own with me. I go for the soft and musical type of music. I detested loud music. I have 2 girls who are yelling real loud all the time here. I can't afford another banging in my ears. I'm afraid I may end up with a bloody ears, LOL. Happy posting, grandpa.

I do listen to music while surfing the internet alot. I dont listen to it much while on mylot or other sites like this. Thats just because I get to singing with the song then instead of typing what I meant to, I end up typing the words to the song instead. I have a very one track mind. Maybe thats just my blond side though. Haha. Im also probably the only person in the world with out a Ipod. I did have one, but I traded it for a digital camera. I down load music & burn it to CD.s alot.I like alot of differant kinds of music, country, some rape, classic rock & havey metal. Just depends on the mood that I am in at the time.

I do like to listen to music while I am mylotting or doing research or whatever. I don't have an Ipod, my daughter does, but she is currently grounded from it hahaha! I do use yahoo radio or I have cd's downloaded to my computer. I like yahoo because I can pick a genre of music and there are minimal commercials hahaha!
