What would be your epitaph on your gravestone?

I'm sure we have all thought about this at one point or another, so the big question is what would you like written on your headstone. Would you make it serious or humorous. I once saw this: "He lived his life doing things he must, and now it's time to turn to dust" but not sure that is what I would choose.

I would like it to be something witty and humorous, the place has enough sadness. I want to add something to make the place a bit lighthearted to ease the pain of my friends and relatives.

Maybe a quote from Calvin & Hobbes?....I really like your avatar, made me smile just seeing him again.

I would like mine to say something about being a good mother. For someone who has a crazy personality, a humerous saying would be perfect.

When you see epitaphs saying how much of a good parent that person was, it always make me feel so sad for the family left behind. It shows how much love that person has given and how well thought of they are, even when gone.

I agree with you. I have spent my life so far trying to be the best mother for my kids. My oldest is 18 and my youngest is 6. I quit my job to be a stay at home mom 16 yrs ago and am hoping that it has made a positive effect on my children.

It seems rare nowadays to find someone who is willing to give up their careers and devote their full time to their kids. I am sure a lot of children growing up over the last 10 years know their nursery/kindergarden teacher or nanny better than they know their own mother. You have my utmost respect for what you have achieved and I am sure your kids tell you with their actions as well as words just how good a mother you are.

My life has had many interesting twists and turns so I would like: "Never a Dull Moment".

Short and sweet and says a lot about the life you lead. Yopu can conjur up so many images just from those four words. Thankyou very much for your response.

Well I'm getting creamated when my time comes. So I guess I really don't have to worry about it. I'm gonna change this around a little here. My favorite saying by Forest Gump. MY version: Life was like a box of chocolate. I never knew what I was getting, till I got it, then it was to late to give it back.
