Okay, well i just spent the last hour mutilating myself!!!
Yes that's right, why on earth do women decide that we have to mutilate ourselves to look better for what the men? the ones who seriously get under our skin at times? ourselves? What? I really want to know, why do we do this to ourselves?
I plucked my brows, oh my god, it does hurt, maybe i felt it because it's been a while, but hell, it actually hurts, like really, that's mutilation right there!!!
And i'd stop, really i would, but then i would look like my grandfather... And really, i don't want to look like that!
Oh and i shaved, and though I'm good at it, many times women accidentally cut themselves, and that's mutilation too isn't it? Okay so i didn't cut myself, but it still is grueling!!!
Oh and makeup, okay so i don't wear much, and i don't wear it often, but why is it we feel the need to cake this stuff onto our faces? Can't we just be natural?
And i've tried waxing, but uh, no, i have enough mutilating tasks!
Oh, i also work out now, for a while now, and man, it hurts, come on, that's more mutilation right there...
So please, give me a GOOD reason that we feel the need to mutilate ourselves beyond belief, because i JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!

Hahaha,
Well my therapist told me the found women do not do it for men, but for themselves.
I personally have one of those little wands that shaves my eyebrows so it doesn't hurt.
I also have an electric shaver so that doesn't cut me.
I don't wear makeup and if I do its because I want to, not for anyone else's benefit, but then again I like my look without makeup.
Now working out, I do it for both reasons, my health and to look good, for everyone's sake. ;)
I know it's tough being a girl.

hahaha, well i don't naturally do it for the guys, i do it for me, i rarely wear makeup, but i'm like you, i do the natural thing, i like myself, and usually the most makeup i wear is a tad bit of eye liner. Just to bring out the blue...
I pluck because i don't feel the need to go spend money on one of those eyebrow shavers, but i might just do that one of these days when i don't have other things to worry about at the time, and i never cut my legs when shaving, but it's still something that happens to women...
I work out for me, and only for me, my hubby likes me, i like me, but i feel so good when i work out, it's all still some kind of mutilation haha, we don't see men doing most of these things hahhahaha.....

That's funny. Well, to be honest with you, I take care of myself and my appearance for myself. Not for anyone else. I pluck my eyebrows, I shave, I do my pedicure once a month, and I also work out. I don't even do it for my boyfriend because I was doing the same things when I was single. I just like to look good. It makes me feel good about myself.

Ya know,I really wish I knew why.I ,myself, don't mutilate myself to look good for men.I feel if men don't like the way I am, they can go jump off a bridge, lol. I don't wear high heels or a lot of make up or too small clothes are whatever. I really would like to know why women do.That was a very good topic Spitfire.I 'd give you a double plus rating if I could!!

OH, I hate plucking my eyebrows that's why I got one of those pencil shavers. I'm also blessed not to be to hairy so I'm glad I don't have to shave anything on my legs. I do wear make-up but not that much and I don't really think wearing make-up is mutilation. I know I do these kind of things to make me feel good about myself. I know it's a shallow reason and I admire those who don't have to do all these things, but I guess, to each his own...or something like that. LOL.

Yes it isn't much fun doing all this, but what would you feel like if you don't shave for say....a month or two? Yuck! Just think how much deo spray or stick you would use not to smell! After I've shaved and done all these time consuming, painful task I feel good and clean and like a woman. I can't even think of facing my husband with ugly hairs everywhere. I don't wear a lot of makeup but always try to look good and taken care of. Just think what a man must think when he has to kiss you and you have a mustache bigger than his! or when he wants to touch your leg and it feel like a long hair cat or worse a porcupine! We all hate it but it is a womans curse!

Plucking does not hurt that bad if you do it more often. It is when you do not do it that often that it becomes sensitive again. ha ha
And shhhhh...don't tell...but my partner lets me pluck his eyebrows too. This way, he is not a uni-brow man. ha ha
Shaving...men have to shave their faces every day and they nick and cut themselves too. But I much rather shave my legs every few days and steal his razor so it is not as sharp and does not cut me. ha ha
Makeup...this IS torture. They complain when we take took long but wear us on their arm to show us off to everyone when we do. I think men need to make up their minds...ha ha no pun intended....either let us take as long as we want without complaints or let us go without makeup and still show us off. ha ha
What to talk about torture...shoes! LOL Shoes that they love us wearing so much but after walking from the car to whatever store or restaurant...we want to take them off and ping them at someone's head! But noooooo....we wear them because they like them and who cares that our toes feel like they are about to break? LOL

You only have 2 pairs of shoes? Oh my! LOL You need to go to DSW. ha ha
My partner actually wants me to pluck his for him. So, I guess I am lucky and never have to hear him complain. Of course, I have always thought my partner rather odd. ha ha Just kidding.

I don't like shoes either, which is why i only have 2 pair and their both very comfortable haha.

I agree. Women are nuts lol I get my eye brows waxed and get a Brazilian (talk about mutilation!). I do it to keep myself looking good, and when I look good, I feel good! When I shave my legs, I still nick myself and that hurts heaps!

If someone comes up with a good reason, please share. lol I HATE having to shave and put on makeup. Whoever thought it was a good idea thought wrong!! lol
Oh, and waxing is a whole seperate torture! I bought a kit to do it at home and after one strip, and some serious cussing, I tossed it in the trash!

LOL I have never waxed, shaved, plucked or tweezed my brows. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. However, shaving my legs is a big event. I rarely do it anymore, but I will use Nair if there is an important date coming up, I Naired yesterday for soccer pictures because I was a little self conscious about me in shorts AND a picture of it. I barely where make up either and have to admit I make fun of those that do. By the way, thanks for passing on the secret about dancing...I've lost 2 pounds!

2 pounds is a lot when you look in the mirror!!!
Any time i think of a new secret i'll let ya know haha, i'm so happy it works for you, that's awesome.
Getting back to discussion haha, i pluck my brows because they get grandpa bushy, shave my legs cause i've been doing it since i was so young that it grows really fast, but i hate it, and i'm allergic to all those products like nair and all that, and rarely wear much makeup, but it's still torture hahaha.
Congratulations on the weight loss, it feels great to dance, and even better to get results from it!
My days way better now haha, thank you.

Since becoming a mummy again for the second time I have no time to most of the things above.
I do a once a week sweep when I have the bathroom to myself and no kids its bliss to make me feel human again.
I pluck, shave, wax and come out of the bathroom a new woman - makes me laugh because as soon as I go back down stairs all that hard work goes to waste ;)

I don't care about my hairstyle. I want to say something more.Actually,I believe(my opinion is too personally, people who cares more about his or hair and hairstyle showing that the person isn't confident of himself or herself.I see some teenagers change the color of their hairs and make an alternative hairstyle. In my opinion,I just think that these teenagers want to attract other's attention. hairstyles are made and chosen to fit our lifestyle. my hair is my pride, i have long jet black hair that falls straight and smooth. but i gave it up and choose to have a hairstyle i could easily maintain when i had a baby so it would get in the way.
