Lately I've been noticing a growth in the number of people, especially online, who fail to grasp simple concepts like "the truth" and "reality". So here I am to tell you about how animals have autonomy.
Humans, obviously, are animals themselves, but for the sake of clarity here I'll refer to all non-human animals. Now animals, like humans, are sentient beings. They can move of their own volition and do things and what not, as opposed to something like, say, a dresser bureau which doesn't move on its own without the aid of a poltergeist, and is only useful for containing your clothes (preferably in a neatly fashion).
Animals are capable of autonomous action. Animals do not ordinarily require human input in such activities as walking, swimming, flying, eating, defecating, mating, jumping, or all sorts of other actions. An animal can walk from point A to point B on its very own. An example of this is with cheetahs, of which very few are actually owned by people. There are many cheetahs which live primarily with other cheetahs, as opposed to humans, and so must function without human input.
With all of this in mind, it is easy to see that animals are capable of activities of their own choosing, and so may choose to wander in a certain direction, or lay down at a certain place, and the list goes on. Yes, animals can be domesticated and trained, but there is still a vast majority of animals in the world have no such human correspondance in their lives.
In conclusion, the next time you see an animal doing something, consider the possibility that this animal's brain is in its own head, and thus only it directs itself to do what it is doing without human input. Thank you.

yeah, that's why there are domestic cats and dogs for pets but still just let them be what they are... we, humans, are just here to also help them, the animals, and take care of them coz we are much higher beings. =)
