When Can Jason Kidd be named MVP?

As we all know Jason Kidd is a great player. Although he cannot shot well, he could rebound, defend and get others involved. The closest he got on the MVP race was second (Duncan won the MVP race that year). Jason Kidd is getting old, he might retire in a few years. I want to see him lift that trophy.

He averaged a triple double in this year's playoffs. Maybe he could get it when he goes to a better team.

well kidd is also a great guy out side of the court and i dont think he will be disappointed if ever he couldn't get an mvp title coz i know he really wants to involve his team mates rather than think of his own sake

He definitely can not win the MVP award for the regular season this year since Dirk Nowitzki earned that award. He could still possibly get it for the playoffs if the New Jersey were to somehow recover from their playoff deficit and win the NBA title. He will have to wait til next season to try and get the award and even so, it will be quite difficult with all the great players there are in the league.

Thanks for the response. Kidd will be past his prime next season. He will retire not having won an NBA championship and and an MVP.
