Jitterbug cell phone

We are thinking of getting a Jitterbug phone for my mother. She is 70 something and has trouble with her cell phone. It is a pre-pay virgin mobile cell phone. I know that if it was my phone or even my kids phone, it would get used and most of the extra features would be used. But my mother just needs a phone for the times when she is out and needs to contact us to pick her up or to meet her somewhere, or the chance that there is some type of emergency. My mom still needs help playing dvds and video tapes so we want something that is simple and minimal extras. Does anyone know anyone who uses a Jitterbug??? How do they like it, and does it do what it says it will reliably???
