Well, I am bit tensed having change (coins) in my pocket. I want to get rid of coins and usually it makes me to give to some begger lol or sometimes put at some place like my table drawer etc. Then it gives me a sigh of relief :) I cannot keep the coins at all times.
How do you do after having some coins in return whilst shopping? Do you feel a bit irritated having much coins in your pocket all the times? Where do you place the change?

Keep a money box. Put the money into the box each time you get home from shopping. Within a month You'll surely have some tens of dollars worth of coins. Better yet teach your children money skills. Give them the coins as pocket money.
This was how I learnt money skills. My dad would come home from work and I would take the coins from his pocket. That was my form of pocket money. I would put it in my money box and when it is full, my mom and I would count them up and take them to the bank. Then they would print the amount onto the savings book and my mom would let me have a look at it.

I generally put all my spare loose coins into a bottle which forms my meagre savings. It is surprising how much you can actually save when you simply put loose change away. The last time I raided the change bottle I had a total of around £30, very useful at the time and helped to pay an outstanding bill. I always keep my loose coins now and sav them up.

Well, sometimes I really don't care about the change to be saved. Yes, I give it to any begger or sometimes I buy sweets for my neice ;) etc. But even then if I have some coins in pocket, I really keep them in my drawer. Thanks for response friend.

After I get so many coins in my purse. When I am at home. I transfer them in to a huge plastic container. I never dip in to that container of coins. Til the end of the year near Christmas. Than I take the coins to the bank and cash them in. I buy Christmas presents with all the coins. You would not belive how much coins would add up to if you don't spend them all year long.

Hello, alisad,i will have a purse to keep all the coins i bring everyday,i will keep the change there after shopping,I think it is not good to keep the coins in the pocket as they will change the shape of the pants when times go by,for women,it may not be a problem as we always get a purse in our handbag.I will never put any coins in the pocket as it is also quite embarassing when the coins collide together and create a noise when you are walking.

it doesn't bother me at all having coins in my pocket specially after shopping. i share some of them in a donation box for certain organizations. i may use the coins for my fare in jeepneys. i put most of the coins in an old drinking glass where i can save and use later during christmas season particularly when children visit homes and sing christmas carols.

I rarely have change anymore. I never pay with cash--usually just my debit card. On the rare occasion that I get change I just hold it in my pocket until I get home and then put it in the candy dish where I keep my change.
When I worked I used to stop and get a coke and chips on my way home every day so I always had change. I saved it all and that along with the change my dad had saved up we had about $120 that we split with our 3 kids. All that change does add up.

I hate having coins in my wallet or pocket. I usually keep a few pennies for the penny horse at the grocery store though.
I usually take all my change and put it into our Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile coin bank that sits in our dresser and we save it up. Our pennies go into an empty orange gatorade bottle to be saved up. Last time we turned in our pennies we had almost $50. Last time we took our coins to the bank, we had about $80.

Coins, they always jump out from my pocket:P
After my shoppin if I have coins,I will give them to beggars. They need help, and for me,I'm capable to have a good life so that I think I should help the beggars.Sometimes I will collect coins in a box and then after a period,I will take my box to the bank and change them into paper money.

yup. when younger, i do that sometimes, too. and i feel excited when the "counting" days are near. like knowing how much you've saved from your allowance. and it's actually nice.
and you save it for a year? wow! something great. you're very patient. hehe.

I always place my change in my wallet, otherwise I would loose it. It never accumulates for long, as I give my daughter a small amount of change for lunch every day. My husband, collects his in his pocket, & when it gets to full he takes it out & leaves it lying around. I am always raiding his pocket for loose change.

My coins go into the coin section of my purse/wallet. In Australia we have $1 and $2 coins and they can add up to a surprising amount sometimes. I will often put these aside in a tin and when my funds are low I have a tidy little sum to tide me over till I next get paid. I'm a low income earner so I'm never irritated by money in any way. I don't get rid of it, I make it work for me.

Spare change is what actually bought my 1st computer 6yrs ago. We had a 5g. water bottle to put it in every night. Saved for over 2yrs. and bought it at Walmart at one of their day after Thanksgiving sales. The change also bought a desk for the puter as well. I now have a small change jar in my car that I put the change in and when full, transfer it to a tin can in our house. Once full, it goes into my savings account. Hubby does the same thing and we always encourage our daughter to do it as well. She has a plastic mayo jar she decorated herself for her change and when full, goes into her savings account as well. It adds up pretty quick if you always pay with cash. I prefer to use my debit card when shopping cause then it collects points at my bank that I can in turn exchange for gas cards.

I normally put those coins into my savings box. I would then let the coins accumulate up to 1000 pieces and then I would take it to the bank and deposit it into my account. The reason for the 1000 pieces is that the bank would charge a service fee of the coins exceed 1000 pieces.

Here in Canada we have a lot of change. We have the 1 cent coin, the 5 cent coin, the 10 cent coin, the 25 cent coin, a 1 dollar coin, and a 2 dollar coin. When i go shopping it is much more convenient to hand out bills so by the end of the day I have LOTS of change. It doesn't bother me though because I have a coin jar that I just put the change in. Then if I have a time when I really am getting low on money I have all of this change saved up from weeks and weeks. Or I also have a son and he loves coins. He has a piggy bank and I will give him some change to put into his piggy bank. He will tell me, mommy my piggy is hungry, so I will give him a few coins so he can "feed" his piggy.

Im happy to have lots of coins after shopping so that i can put it in my peggy bank, cause im happy to see my peggy bank with lots of coins and it is too heavy. And also i like to have lots of coins so that i can keep it and then in case of emergency i can still use it.
