Here is a picture of a cute bumble bee project we did today in my daycare.
For the head of the bee, we traced a bowl to give us a nice round circle. For the body it was just a long wide shape. For the wings, we made a heart shape from orange paper. The antennas were black. The children helped with tracing the shapes, they glued it all together and drew a face and stripes on the bee. I think they turned out really cute.

Those are too cute. I have all that stuff saved in my boys baby boxes so I can keep them for years !! My youngest brought home a cute Mother's Day card shaped like a tea pot, he drew a picture of a tree on the front and a real camera picture of him inside the tree. It opens up and there is a recipe with a bag of tea and a poem:
Here's a gift for Mother's Day:
I'll try my best in every way.
But when you get upset with me,
Relax and have a pot of tea !
It is absolutely adorable !! I love the things they make, they mean so much more than anything store bought. Kudos to you for helping these little ones bring joy to their parents !!

One year I went to the home of one of my daycare little girls. Their entire dining room was wall papered in all her art projects from my daycare! It was amazing. The little girl was so proud.

i really enjoy all your creative ideas you share with us! my son made a spider out of his handprints for halloween a couple years back. it was so cute. well he hasn't been in daycare since, and he won't start school for about another year, so i try to do lil projects with him. so we re-created the spider, (since his hands have grown), and now he says he has a big boy spider to go with his baby spider. do you mind if i make a few of your ideas/projects, or if you know of a good book or website that has simple project ideas for the lil ones? he gets a kick out of using construcion paper!
