As in the story of Genesis, from the Bible and the Torah.
I don't. I didn't think anyone else did, either, until I was about 14 or 15, when a good friend of mine got into an argument with another over evolution, stating that due to genetics there is PROOF that humans could have only descended from two people. I was shocked. SHOCKED.
(I should note that some time after this discovery, I found out there are people who think the earth is 5,000-10,000 years old... reading some of these statements still makes me want to cry with pity.)
(When I was little I didn't think Jesus was real, either, since everyone could change his appearance to blue eyed or blonde or CHINESE, I figured he couldn't have existed since only fictional characters can have so much 'artistic license' when being drawn. )
It's a yes or no question, but feel free to add in more details if you feel like it.

I belive that we are the decenders of Adam and Eva.They are just expecting it based on some theories made by them. But they are not sure about it.As a human we are pron to errors so we can't say this that what our so intelligent people say is true.

No, I try not to get involved with religion or evolution-theories and stuff because they dont interrest me that much. I also think that discussions with someone of the other belief doesnt bring any result and is thereby pointless.
But since evolution has happend and is true, Adam and Eve can not have happend. I think the story of Adam and Eve has a more symbolic meaning, I dont think it's ment to be considered a true story.

I don't believe in the story of genesis, but I DO believe that we descended from 1 who could be classified as the first human. In scientific terms denoted as scientific Adam.
The first person which distinguished itself from the apes but still capable of mating with them, that way spreading out his genes which would surpass that of the apes eventually.
Evolution in the end is something which happens in 1 person, and if this person has any advantage at all it will spread out over millions and millions of people in the end.
This can be seen in example with the genes to prevent lactose intolerance, there are 3 variants meaning that the millions of people having those genes in the western world descend from just 3 different people in the most simplistic view. Of course the mutation can happen in multiple people, but definitely not in the millions there are now so as to where others simply couldn't survive a small amount of people thousands of years back have spread out to millions of people alive today.

Well, IIRC, Adam and Eve lived for a long, long long time before finally dying, and their descendants gradually had shorter and shorter lives.
I could be completely wrong, though, and if I am, I apologize. It's been a few years since I read Genesis, and the style of the writing was so boring I had trouble keeping attention to it, or understanding it.

I do believe we came from Adam and Eve. We had to come from somewhere. I don't believe we came from apes or monkeys or we would see more of them evoled instead how they are now.

yes i do believe in adam and eve. this was proven from the bible and torah. many people says that adam and eve are just a myrh they don't believe in their existence some says that its just a legend. but for me honestly i do believe in their existence. i dont blame people thinks that were came from the monkey eventually evolve in to men. i respect their opinions but sometimes i felt angry but i control my self not to argue with them i just prayed for them hoping that they going to change their mind in giving such hypothetical explanation with that topic.
