better counsling for mental health issues? It seems Doctors just want to put kids on meds without quility counsling. But to me this just covers up the problem. By doing this the child grows up and has even more problems as an adult. I feel every aspect of their life is affected, and I also feel these kids are being cheated out of proper care. I also think that society does not think our children whatever age they may be can have mental issues. The problems just seem to get swept under the rug.

I agree. I think instead of dealing with the issues too often children are just medicated until they are controlable. We are a very adult-centered culture. Children are generally cast asside anytime they become a problem to the adults.
