Hello! I am a wife and mother using the internet! I have a family and a life and home, yet I am using the internet! I like to use the internet, which is a giant advertisement and a recreational tool for TEENAGERS across the world! I like this trendy new internet because I too can be "in the know"...even though I'm a married person with children people! I am using the internet! While cleaning up after my kids and providing my family with money which can be used for food and other necessities! And I am using the internet! Which is a recreational tool for teenagers and young adults! I have kids! And a spouse! And I'm on the internet! And I use MyLot! Instead of sending ignorant, paranoid letters to Ann Landers or Dear Abby or whatever schlocky, anti-permissive advice column that my local newspaper provides! Next to the crosswords! While I'm a middle-aged person with kids and a family and everything and I use the internet regularly at the same time!

I am also a wife and a mother with a home life and I am on the internet alot. I use it to make money and to chat. I don't think it is just for teenagers any more. I know I can come here to my lot with a real problem and get advice from several people and I can give it as well. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

*giggles* I get a funny reaction from people when they find out I am an adult female with a husband and child who uses the internet too. Not as much on forums as I do on online games, but quite often I have been accused of lying about myself just because people can't believe someone like me could be online. Weird, huh?
Have you ever had anyone tell you that you were lying when you told them you were a wife and mother online?

Maybe I've been accused of lying once or twice, but not normally. I don't do online games. My attention span is to short for games, I guess. I did go into chat rooms a LOT and still do sometimes. Some chat rooms are full of mothers and wives.

Good for you. At least even you are already a mother you are still IN with the internet. Middle aged to old people doesnt want to know about the internet and how it helps us people. They are so closed minded you can say. I think you are a WEBMOM indeed..hehe...high tech mother!

I am a wife to my husband and a mother to three adorable cats whom I love a lot. I consider them my children. I also work full time, clean the household, and freelance write in my spare time. That sounds great about your life Wolf. Kudos to you!

I am like you too, middle aged with a family, albeit scattered across two contnents, trying to earn enough online so as to bring my Husband over from the U.S an he can give up his full time job so we can work together. I think this is great for meeting people and I met my husband on a marriage site online believe it or not and its the best thing I ever did, apart from giving birth to my son of course. I am glad you like the internet, for all the good it can do. But like any thing the internet is a double edged sword, sometimes it is used for the most unpleasant things WOULDN'T LIKE TO MENTION. I HOPE WE CAN AT LEAST TRY TO MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE. In whatever small way we can.

I'm also a mother of two girls, my eldest is almost a teenager the truth is she's the one intruduce to me the computer or I say the Internet coz she's been studying in a private school and they allow to use a computer to studied also. Coz ofcourse on my time computers are marely not for personal use only but mostly for bussiness and I don't have any knowledge using it. So to her request also we bought a pc for us. She taught me how to use play games and surf to internet. Now they call me internet addick after my household chores I just sit infront of the computer everday.

Well, ok, why not? I am a little old lady with a load of kids and a little old husband and I too use the internet. In fact, I am Gadget around here, theyw ould all be totally helpless wih out my techie expertise. Have at it and have fun!
