i just came back from a two mile walk. i had my 25 lb 17 month old on my back so i had to work a little harder than if i hadnt wore him. i feel so much better!! i have had a stressful week, who hasnt, right? this just helped me to get into a more relaxed place.
i walk almost every night but i usually take all the kids and push a triple jogging stroller up and down hills. our community is very hilly. it is an awesome workout and it includes quality time with my kids. i love to walk when the weather is favorable and it is right now. a little windy but really nice.
does anyone walk to eleviate stress? anyone walk with their kids for quality time and exercise?one of my neighbors, who i might add is a bit lazy and obese... asked me the other day when i walked by if i ever get tired of just walking. that made me laugh. maybe this is why i am healthy and 108 lbs..lol. it makes a person feel good.
what do you all think of lazy people and do you walk a lot??

I used to love to walk around in my old neighborhoods, if it was nice I'd take my son in a stroller or wear him. But now I live in the stupidest subdivision ever! Some of the streets have sidewalks that just end randomly, this really bites when I'm pushing a stroller! I like to walk the mall with my son, I know I won't be too hot or cold and there's always places to stop if I need to pee or drink something!

i like to walk the mall too but that got me into some trouble...if you remember my post about "i hate my husband and i am not too fond of life in general"..lol. so i only do that occasionally now. i guess i have an addiction of sorts to shopping..lol.
my community is filled with hills and sometimes pushing the heavy triple stroller makes me so exhausted. there have been times that i barely made it up a hill...lol. i bet it looked funny from someones perspective watching me from their house..lol

Wow! First of all, your children are adorable! Secondly, you make me feel very ashamed. I lost 50 pounds 3 years ago and have slowly regained it. I have been diagnosed with posterior tibial dysfunction and can't do as much aerobics and even walking as I used to. I had to have custom inserts made for my shoes. I have recently started walking again....and I am sooo out of shape. After only 3/4 mile I felt very tired. Oh well, I know that I have to build up slowly, but it is frustrating! Kudos to you for your healthy lifestyle!!

well first off..thank you!!
second...dont be so hard on yourself. the fact that you lost 50 lbs before is a big achievment. if you have a condition that doesnt allow you to exercise or even walk a lot, you should really not be so hard on yourself!!! do what you can and that is the best you can do for yourself. you dont sound like a lazy person one bit so i dont see a problem at all!!! you do have to build up slowly. 20 mins a day is a good start. 3/4 of a mile is a great start!!! better than most can do!!!
you did it once, i have faith that you will do it again in time. keep me posted!!!!
