What internet scams have you actually encountered?

Last week my dad just got an email saying he won around 2 Million Bucks in the Microsoft Word Lottery. Of course I didn't believe because the email was kinda suspecting. Still I kept my hopes high, and then realized... of all the billions of people around the globe, why did my dad win? So I checked it with google and typed Microsoft Word Lottery in the search bar. And I found out that it was a good dirty scam with lots of pictures and invalidity included. Good thing I saved my parents to pay $650 beforehand and knowing that it was a filthy lie a swindler would love to weave. Have you experienced something like that? Or even the exact situation?
