Are they nice or mean? Trouble or fun?
I think mine has in imaginary friend, because he will go around talking to himself, and sometimes it sounds like his friend wants him to do something naughty, cause he will mutter stuff I forget at this moment, but it just sounds like he's talking himself or his friend out of something.
I know my niece had three imaginary friends named Coco, Cop and Bean (don't ask me about names, she was like 3 years old, lol) and they had to be "killed" every night before she could sleep. Apparently they were evil friends....
So what about your kids?

I think this is what child always do when he is the only child in the familiy. He has no other friends at home besides the parents. So he will try to image a friend around him, mostly his favorite cartoon char. For my dughter, she always image a friend named bambi, you know what he is. :)

Well, we haven't discussed his "friend" yet. I will casually ask him about who hes talking to and he will spout off something in gibberish, so I will have to wait a little while longer for that talk. lol...
Yes, he is an only child for another week. And even then, he will still be alone for awhile. lol.
I have no idea...
