I have so much high regard for those who are single parent. It's hard to be a parent. You have so many responsibilities, there are so many demands, you have to take care of household chores, be a babysitter, teacher, and you also take care of the financial aspect on top of so many other things. Last week, the whole week, I did not have any helper in my home. I did everything, and my toddler was of no help, she was even more naughty. I cleaned the house, cooked, washed and ironed clothes, and took care of my toddler. I could not go to my small business because I was so exhausted just being at home. Thank God my husband still works hard and earns. But I thought to myself, how could a single parent possibly manage? How do they balance their life? Their time? Please share. I am in awe and give them credit for being such a super strong person.

Thank you I am a single parent and even though it takes a lot of work and dedication, it is the most rewarding job ever. Witnessing your child's steps, words and many of his firsts is so much worth all the trouble. At the end of the day, the important thing is no matter if you're a single parent or not, loving and putting your child's best interests before your own needs is what defines a real parent.

It is the most rewarding job, to be a parent. I admire people like you who has enough strength to juggle everything in life and rear a beautiful child(ren) by yourself. Thanks so much for sharing.

I am not a single parent myself but let me, by way of responding to your discussion, pay tribute to those who are. My wife and I take care of our 3 children without any additional help and we can hardly manage waking them up daily and helping them prepare for school. I can imagine single parents having a worse time than us but ably coping with the demands of their child(ren). I applaud them for their patience and endurance in doing so.

I have friends who are single parent to their child(ren) and I have witnessed all the hard stuffs that they've been doing everyday just to take care of their child(ren). I know it's not easy and simple and I admire them so much for that. If I would be in their shoes, I don't know if I can manage to be one...

Yes, if we can why others can't?
It's really important to work hard for our future of course. By the time we grow old we can't no longer work so it's a matter of saving funds for the family.
And it's really important.
