I experienced an awesome immediate answer to a prayer on Wednesday night. My brother was arrested and in jail, so I went to church that evening like I always do. I asked several ladies to pray over me while I stood in the gap for my brother. It was the most awesome thing that I have experienced. I was bawling by the time that we had finished. The leader of the prayer asked me if I felt it lift, and I could feel a peace about it. My brother had to stay in jail for 4 hours before he could be released. Then my sister to him to the hospital to be checked out for one reason while he was in jail he was walking around the cell in circles and hitting his head on the wall. So I went to meet them there. I told him that I stood in the gap for him and was prayed over. He asked me "what time was that?" I said, about 9pm. He said, he felt it too! Because that is when he said he felt a lightness come about him, and quit banging his head against the wall. He thanked me for it. Have you ever experienced a situation like this? Please share it, I would love to hear about it.

That is awesome. I do think that having other pray with you is helpful. I'm not familiar with the term gap, what does it mean?

The term gap means, that I stood there as if I was him while they prayed. Since he wasn't able to be present, I stood there for him. If that helps the explanation of gap. Thank you for responding.

Thanks for explaining gap to me. That is kind of like intercessary prayer. That is really neat that you felt it lift at the same time he did!!

When my daughter was born they told me she wasn't going to make it. I went to church and took her picture and we all prayed for her. She is now 4 years old she has many medical problems but is a joy and is always happy and smiling. I thank God for everyday I have with her. Be Blessed my friend.

Terri, that is awesome! Thanks for sharing that with us. We need to hear that it does happen to people. It is very encouraging. You said y'all took your brother to the hospital to have him checked out. Is he ok? This is a "gospel bump" experience and I loved reading about it. God bless you.

Yes, my brother is doing okay. Still needs lots of prayers. He has been suffering with mental health issues. Hearing voices, and all that goes along with that as well as paranoid. But he has seen the psychiatrist and I know by the power of God he is on the road to goodness. I try to publicly praise God when something good happens, and prayers are answered. Because God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
