Hehehe I rhymed... Jokes aside, some of you may know by now that I have recently found out I am pregnant with twins. My son will be almost two years old when these lil ones are born, and yes I do realise that some people may find it odd or "wrong" to have children so close together. I am not writing this post to gain approval for my children or anything of the sort. I'm merely wondering if there are any mums of twins on here who could share some pearls of wisdom on what I am sure will be very challenging, but also very rewarding- that is having twins! ;)
I am also booked in for another ultrasound as at my last one they saw three sacs and want to confirm whether or not I am having TRIPLETS OMG~ So i should know in a few weeks...
I feel very lucky, and happy, and excited and also a lil anxious about my impending arrivals... Any ideas?

Wow Megs, Congratulations!! I missed your other discussion informing us you were preggers as I have been very sketchy with mylot recently.
I think a two year age gap is a good time. As for any tips? Well, not having had twins myself I can only speculate - Accept any help offered, even if it is just to help around the house and maybe seek out a support group in your area so give you the perspectives of other mothers with multiples.
Also maybe try www.babycentre.com.au as they have quite alot of information for mothers of all types and I would say they would have an online support group for multiples also. They were one of the sites I always visited when my little on was young and I wanted to know something.
Anyway, Congrats again!! Regards, Tanika.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out later on today, as for now... the lil man is ready for play so I had better go get him :)

oh Congratulations I would love to have twins... I had my second child when my son was 19months old it wasn't as hard as I first thought it would have been.. I'm sorry I don't have any tips for coping with twins... I have a friend with twins and she said the first 6moths to year was really hard... I wish you the Best of Luck..

Hey megs,
Congrats on your new additions & just for the record I think it's great that your babies will be close in age number one they'll be able to share clothes & so much more stuff & best of all they'll be closer as friends. My Momma had fraternal twins a boy & girl-the one thing that sticks out in my mind when we we're growing up is they always praised my brother on how smart he was but not my sister so I would say try not to have a "favorite" even though I know that can be hard cause my Momma had seven children in all & at one point or another a few of us got treated like the "favorite" & now I know it hurt the others.
+'s 2 U Momma |;)
:D
