To Boldly Go Where And As Who

Imagine you were on the USS Voyager, or on a big Stargate program, or were able to travel to distant galaxies, planets, with hope of meeting other races, hostile and friendly and making new friends and foes. What ROLE would you love to take? Would you love to be the captain? In charge of the spaceship be the ambassador of Earth and the first contact to alien races, to give orders to go to planets and to either show the hand of friendship or fire? Would you love to be the ships doctor, administering medicines and advanced drugs and being the first point of call for anything from a common cold to curing a phaser blast to your patients shoulder or trying to analyze an alien or bug! Would you love to be the explorer, the first intrepid explorer setting foot on an alien world, the first to meet hostile or friendly aliens? Would you love to be the ships cook? Finding new ingredients, plants, vegetation on other worlds and planets to cook with and experiment with? Or is there another role you would love to take on in space?

Knowing me and we both do. LOL I would probably be the one flirting with the captain. I don't think I would be doing much on the ship except using my energy to flirt. lol. I can't help it thats who I am. Who would you be wolfie??

Definitely Captain Kathryn Janeways' personal valet, looking after her and tending to her every need, I would be safe on board the ship and her every whim provided for and giving her ample TLC you know me ;0)

mmmm good question! I would say I would like to be in charge of the nursery but surely they wouldn't take babies and young children on such a long voyage! Now I have to think againQ Let me see what about being the ships counsellor , helping those on board with any problems they have and knowing or learning about different species so I could help the crew realise the different traits and cultures of thos from different planets! I just wish I looked like Dana Troy (is that the right name?) xxxx

I would definitely choose to be the explorer. I can leave the other roles to more capable hands and worthy of that position. I love to go around and see more of what's the world can offer. Mylot gave me the opportunity to meet different people from around the world. I hope I can have the chance to meet friendly faces and aliens aboard the ship too.

Oh i love this wolfie, a wonderful creative post you started here, i would never have thought of this idea. I know that i love those t.v. series of the voyager. I would surely go for the role of the captain, i know that it does feet me. To be the leader and to take care of everything without getting too emotional, but still remaining human.

I watched an episode of Voyager today which gave me the idea although it would scare the hell out of me if I met one of the Borg cubes

i would love to be the captain, planning distant missions. However, as a race humanity is simply looking for mirrors rather than looking for life blessed be

I guess I'd just be some computer nerd on board or something like that. Don't know why, but some some reason the space program never caught my imagination. I really thing the only way I'd be interested at all would be if I could somehow or other get it on the computer....It astounds me that billionaires are willing to shell out millions for a trip on a spaceship. I can think of lots of things to do with money but spece travel just isn't one of them.

I wouldnt mind being on the greeting comittee when they visit here. I dont think that we will ever establish life on another planet. I think they are so much more advanced in comparrison to them that we would be boring to them. I dont think that they would really want our planet now...because of its condition and they probably know more about that then we do. I would like to communicate with them but I think I would rather do it by phone or some tele communications form, maybe even an email...lol

I'd take something simple and towards the back. Something not important but needed so I didn't have to do a lot because I wouldn't enjoy being a leader or someone close to that... ~Joey

I'm the Chief Engineer, I'm a problem solver and have a knack for making things work.

I would be the engineer onboard, in charge of the computer system and the circuitry etc. This is to ensure that everyone is able to have a smooth journey with enough lighting and accurate navigational directions.

I am a huge fan of this genre and often think wha a much improved wrld it would be if our own governments and worl leaders too a page from the Federation's book. While being a science officer on a ship like Voyager would be very tempting, so would being a member of the team on Atlantis. Well, except for all the stress. And the idea that you actually would be expected to be sort of physically fit. Those two issues might pose a small problem.

I think I would like to be the one that programs and tests the holodeck. I dont thnk I would make much of an ambasador but I would love to have full control of a holodeck. Take care, Terry
